Hello Hampton School District Families and Community,
The summers always seem to fly by, and this summer was no exception. As the board met this summer, we find it important to keep you up to date on our work. Read on to find out more!
Reflecting, Learning, and Planning
Over the summer, our team has been digging into a lot of important information to help shape our goals for the upcoming year. That includes:
-
Capturing Kids’ Hearts: We’ve been reviewing how this program is helping build stronger relationships in our schools and supporting student social-emotional growth. Feedback from staff and students has been very positive, and we’re working on ways to build on that momentum.
-
5Essentials Survey: We took a deep dive into the results of the annual survey to better understand how we’re doing when it comes to school culture, leadership, family involvement, and more. The data gives us a great roadmap for what’s working—and where we can do even better.
-
MAP Assessment Results: We also looked at academic growth through our students’ MAP testing results. This helps us identify areas where students are thriving and where we can provide more support. It’s all part of making sure every student has what they need to succeed.
Welcome to Our New Board Member!
We’re excited to welcome Andy Wright to the School Board! Andy was appointed this summer to fill a vacancy left after the April election. He brings a strong passion for education and community involvement, and we’re happy to have him on board as we head into the new school year.
New Faces in Our School!
We’re also thrilled to welcome a few new staff members who are joining our school family:
-
Malory Eggers, who will be teaching Physical Education
- Adrienne Varble, who will be teaching Band and Music.
-
Bailey Thompson, our new Library Aide/Media Specialist
We’re excited about the energy and experience they bring, and we know our students will benefit from their passion and dedication.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Popsicles on the playground event! It was a wonderful event and we enjoyed being a part of it!
We can’t wait to welcome students back soon. Thank you for your support!
