December News from our School Board

Hello, District Families and Community Members,

As we move further into the school year, our Board continues to review student data to help us better understand student achievement and growth across grade levels. This month, we reviewed the Illinois School Report Card data. Our goal is to ensure our teachers have what they need to provide strong instruction for every learner.

A key part of these conversations has been how our district delivers differentiated instruction. We are committed to meeting students where they are—whether they need additional support or advanced learning opportunities.
We are also looking ahead to our continued learning as a Board.

Several members will be attending the Illinois Association of School Boards conference in Chicago, where we’ll participate in training and workshops designed to strengthen our governance, deepen our understanding of educational trends, and bring new ideas back to our district.

Finally, we are proud to continue our long tradition of strong student participation in our athletic programs. We’re exploring options to continue supporting these opportunities—both to enhance the student experience and to build school pride throughout the community.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are proud of the work happening across our district and look forward to keeping you updated as we move ahead.
