Hello! My name is Samantha Olson, and I will be Hampton's new junior high science teacher. I recently graduated from Augustana College with a degree in Middle Grades Science Education. Throughout college, I had wonderful opportunities to gain classroom experience at Glenview Middle School in East Moline and spent a full year student teaching at Pleasant Valley Junior High. During my senior year, I had the opportunity to spend two weeks in Jamaica teaching at a school in Kingston. Through these experiences, my passion for teaching grew stronger, as did my understanding of the importance of building connections within a community. I am very excited to begin my teaching career at Hampton and look forward to building meaningful connections with students, families, and the Hampton community.
