Interested in serving on the Hampton School District 29 Board of Education? Five seats will be on the ballot at the Consolidated Election on Tuesday, April 6, 2027. Four seats are 4 year terms and one seat is a 2 year term. In the nomination packet you will need to indicate if you are running for a 4 year or 2 year term.
To be eligible, candidates must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, a registered voter, and a resident of the district for at least one year before the election.
Nominating petition packets are available now at the main office of the school as well as at the Rock Island County Clerk's Office (1504 Third Avenue, Rock Island; 309-558-3571), and candidates can begin collecting signatures right away. Petitions must be signed by at least 50 registered voters who live within the district. Completed petitions, along with a Statement of Candidacy and a receipt showing a Statement of Economic Interests has been filed with the County Clerk, must be turned in at the County Clerk's Office between Monday, November 16, and Monday, November 23, 2026.
